The new 118,000 sq ft University Recreation Center will house the EWU Body Shop fitness facility, a 200-meter indoor running track, an indoor climbing wall, a gymnasium for basketball and volleyball, a 20,000 sq ft multi-purpose floor, locker rooms, food services and offices for the University's recreation programs. The multi-purpose floor, located on the first floor of the center, can be transitioned between an ice rink and general recreational activity space and provides seating for 1,000 spectators. This project has been Certified LEED Gold.
