M-E Engineers is providing mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering design, and LEED® consulting services for this 900,000 sq ft LEED Silver residential mixed-use development in Downtown San Diego. The project is comprised of two structures; a 19-story high-rise residential tower with 299 units, and a mid-rise five-story, 93,000 sq ft office building with 25,000 sq ft of ground-floor retail, and a rooftop garden plaza. Both structures will be built over underground parking. This project is an important element of the Park-to-Bay Link. With the San Diego Trolley's College Station being incorporated into the development between the two structures, Smart Corner will also serve as a new transit hub for downtown San Diego.
